Composing the half-life size sculpture

This is the critical stage.  All the scaling, linkages, figure movements and detail are to be resolved at this stage.

The body of the mine, now in plaster, is set at height and angle.  The details on the mine are left to one side for the time being as there is much manhandling of the mine to get it into the correct position.
Just about there with the position of the mine.  We will be adding more structural support to the top of the back iron so that the vertical can be removed and the mine taken down easily to apply all the details which wait on the bench.

Trial run of a half life size in wire to begin testing the movement of the figure...it could be tricky to link the figure to the mine and the water level while maintaining movement so using a wire stick figure makes it easier to move limbs around and set the stance.
